Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital seeking a full-time Medical Director Veterinarian to provide care for cats and dogs.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director Veterinarian will combine a full scope of general practice clinical responsibilities with leadership duties. The clinical workload will include wellness and preventive care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and dentistry, alongside responsibilities associated with leading the hospital. Doctors typically work an average of four 10-hour shifts per week, with rotating Saturdays. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 2:00pm. It is well equipped with digital radiology, ultrasound, an in-house surgery suite, hospitalization capabilities, and more. The hospital is AAHA-accredited and committed to using fear-free techniques whenever possible. It offers a full scope of general practice services, including wellness and preventive care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and dentistry.

Team
The hospital has a team of three DVMs alongside a great team of support staff.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
