Introduction
Our client is a multi-species veterinary practice in Janesville, Minnesota, seeking a Managing Veterinarian. The hospital treats a variety of species and provides a full range of services including preventive care, diagnostics, surgery, dental procedures, and advanced wellness services.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The clinic is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. This is a full-time role, combining clinical duties with leadership responsibilities.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Managing Veterinarian will balance clinical practice with leadership duties, guiding the medical direction of the practice, mentoring the veterinary team, ensuring high standards of patient care, and collaborating with hospital leadership on operations and growth initiatives. Clinical responsibilities include preventive care, laser therapy, wellness services, surgery, dental care, radiology, laboratory diagnostics, ultrasound, OFA certification, and allergy/genetic testing. Surgical procedures cover soft tissue, elective, caesarian, orthopedic, trauma repair, mass removal, and other surgeries, with complex cases supported by board-certified specialists. The role is open to experienced veterinarians with leadership and clinical expertise.

Practice Details
The practice operates from a 2,300 sq. ft. facility featuring a secondary exam room, expanded kennel space, a grooming room, and a fully equipped surgery suite. The clinic has advanced monitoring equipment for surgeries, digital radiography, laser therapy, and in-house biochemical and hematology testing with rapid results, supplemented by reference laboratories for complex diagnostics. Services offered include preventive care, diagnostics, surgery, dental care, laser therapy, radiology, laboratory services, ultrasound, OFA certification, and allergy and genetic testing. The practice culture emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and high-quality, personalized patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
