Job Description
Introduction
Our client is seeking a full-time Medical Director at a AAHA-accredited companion animal hospital in Jackson, Wyoming. This leadership role offers the opportunity to guide a collaborative team within a modern facility providing high-quality veterinary care while setting the standard of medical excellence.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 7 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 6 pm, and is closed on Sundays. The full-time schedule will be arranged within these hours to support work-life balance.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will lead and mentor the veterinary team while providing comprehensive care for patients, including cats, dogs, avian, exotics, and pocket pets. Responsibilities include performing wellness exams, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and urgent care, while developing and maintaining medical protocols, supporting the professional growth of associate veterinarians, collaborating with hospital leadership on operational goals, and ensuring high standards of patient care and client communication.

The hospital offers a full range of services including wellness care, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and urgent care within a modern, well-equipped facility designed to deliver high-quality veterinary care to the Jackson community.
Team Size
The hospital currently has a team of seven veterinarians supported by skilled veterinary technicians and administrative staff.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
