Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a 24-hour emergency hospital seeking an ER Department Director to join their team in a full-time position. The hospital provides care for cats, dogs, and exotics and is looking for an experienced veterinarian to lead their Emergency Service while continuing to practice emergency medicine.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As the ER Department Director, you will continue practicing emergency medicine while serving as a mentor, coach, and leader for the Emergency Service. You will work closely with hospital leadership to build a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing medical team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and client service. The hospital is open to discussing doctor hours and scheduling preferences with the successful candidate. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian with a passion for clinical leadership and emergency medicine.

Practice Details
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They offer a range of specialist services including Internal Medicine, Avian and Exotics, and Surgery. The practice benefits from modern, well-equipped facilities that support the delivery of high-quality emergency and referral care.

Team
The medical team includes two specialists in Avian and Exotics, one Surgeon, and six Emergency Veterinarians. They are supported by 25 full-time veterinary technicians and assistants who work together to provide outstanding patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
