Our client is a hospital hiring a Medical Director to join their team working with cats and dogs. This full-time opportunity is based within a full-service veterinary hospital focused on delivering high-quality preventative medicine, diagnostics, surgery, and dentistry in a collaborative and patient-focused environment. The practice is seeking an experienced veterinarian with leadership capabilities who is passionate about clinical excellence, team development, and exceptional patient care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will lead the delivery of high-quality veterinary care while supporting clinical standards, team collaboration, and hospital performance. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive patient care through physical examinations, diagnostics, preventative medicine, treatment planning, and surgery. The role includes performing routine, diagnostic, and complex procedures including radiographs, ultrasounds, dental extractions and prophylaxis, spays, neuters, abdominal exploratory procedures, and mass removals. Additional responsibilities include reviewing hospital performance, supporting continuous improvement in clinical skills, fostering a collaborative work culture, mentoring and supporting veterinary teams, and building strong relationships with pet parents through compassionate communication and care. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian seeking both clinical and leadership responsibilities within a supportive environment.

Practice Details
This full-service veterinary hospital is equipped with advanced medical technology including cloud-based practice management and medical records software, digital and dental x-ray systems, Idexx diagnostics, Butterfly iQ+ handheld ultrasound, Vetology Radiograph Interpretation AI, VMED Vet-Dop2 Doppler Blood Pressure System, and VETSCAN IMAGYST. Services offered include vaccines and microchipping, routine wellness care, illness and injury care with diagnostic imaging, and flea, tick, and heartworm prevention and prescriptions. The practice emphasizes autonomous medicine, professional development, leadership training, collaboration, and exceptional patient care supported by experienced medical leaders and trained veterinary technicians and assistants. Hospital hours are Tuesday from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Friday and Saturday from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and the hospital is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
