Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital that provides care for cats and dogs, and they are currently hiring for a Medical Director Veterinarian. The practice is a full-service general practice located in the thriving energy corridor, serving a loyal and diverse clientele that includes both long-standing clients and newcomers.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday and from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturdays. It is closed on Sundays. Doctor hours are based on flexible daytime shift scheduling, and the position is available on a full-time basis.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director Veterinarian will be responsible for providing full-service general practice care, including surgery, dentistry, wellness, and internal medicine. The hospital offers compassionate care supported by modern diagnostics and general practice surgery capabilities. This role is open to experienced veterinarians only, offering the opportunity to practice high-quality medicine with advanced tools and a skilled support team.

Practice Details
The hospital operates out of a recently remodeled 6,000 square foot facility and is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic capabilities, including three ultrasounds, in-house cytology, and digital X-ray. It also features fully equipped surgery and dental suites.

Team
The team includes four DVMs and maintains a 2:1 DVM-to-technician ratio, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
