Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Medical Director Veterinarian. The hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care for cats and dogs and is looking for an experienced veterinarian to lead its clinical team while continuing to practice high-quality medicine. Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventative care for companion animals while overseeing the clinical direction of the hospital. Responsibilities include performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, developing diagnostic and treatment plans, documenting medical records, and delivering preventative healthcare tailored to each patient’s needs. The role also includes performing routine and advanced surgical procedures such as spays, neuters, abdominal exploratory surgery, and mass removals, alongside routine and complex dental procedures including dental examinations, interpretation of dental radiographs, extractions, and oral surgery. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Medical Director will mentor and support the veterinary team, promote high standards of medical care, encourage collaboration, participate in clinical rounds, and help foster a culture of continuous professional development and exceptional client service. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and is closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position. The practice is equipped with ultrasound, digital diagnostic radiography, and heated hydraulic surgery tables to support advanced patient care. Services offered include routine wellness care, vaccinations, microchipping, prescriptions and preventative care, illness and injury treatment, diagnostic imaging, surgery, and dentistry. The hospital places a strong emphasis on delivering exceptional patient care, teamwork, and maintaining high clinical standards within a modern, well-supported environment.

Team
The veterinary team works closely with an experienced paraprofessional support team in a collaborative environment that values communication, teamwork, and continuous professional development. As Medical Director, you will lead and mentor the clinical team while fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting the delivery of exceptional patient and client care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
