Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Saturday from 8am to 6pm and is closed on Sundays. The rota is structured to support consistency and clinical continuity, with scheduling designed to balance leadership responsibilities, clinical work, and team support. This predictable structure allows Medical Directors to remain actively involved in both patient care and hospital development.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As Medical Director, you will champion medical standards and act as a clinical role model within the hospital. You will mentor and support associate veterinarians, lead clinical discussions, and help shape best-practice protocols while continuing to practise as a clinician yourself. Working closely with the Practice Manager, you will contribute to the ongoing development of the hospital, supporting clinical quality, team engagement, and operational performance. The role blends leadership, collaboration, and high-quality clinical practice, making it ideal for a veterinarian ready to influence both people and medicine.

Practice Details
The hospital is a well-established small animal practice focused on delivering comprehensive, high-quality care for dogs and cats. AAHA accreditation underpins every aspect of the practice, from equipment and diagnostics to clinical protocols and patient safety. Advanced capabilities include in-house ultrasound and the support of complex surgical procedures, including orthopaedics, allowing veterinarians to practise contemporary medicine within a well-equipped and thoughtfully run environment. The emphasis is firmly on thorough case workups rather than high-volume throughput.

Team
You will lead and work alongside a dedicated team of two veterinarians, supported by experienced technicians and support staff. The culture is collaborative, professional, and growth-oriented, with a strong emphasis on communication, mentorship, and shared accountability. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
