Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital seeking a full-time Medical Director Veterinarian to join their team, working with dogs and cats. This role offers the opportunity to combine clinical practice with leadership responsibilities, guiding medical standards and supporting a collaborative hospital environment.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director Veterinarian will balance clinical duties with leadership responsibilities, ensuring the highest standards of patient care while shaping the medical direction of the hospital. You will oversee clinical quality, mentor and support the veterinary team, and collaborate across operational areas including staffing, workflow, and hospital performance. Clinical responsibilities include managing a diverse caseload, performing diagnostics, surgery, and preventative care, and maintaining strong client relationships through clear communication and education. You will also help drive a positive culture, support team development, and ensure compliance with medical standards and protocols. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian.
Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, with additional hours including Monday 7:20 am to 6:30 pm, Tuesday 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, Wednesday to Thursday 7:20 am to 6:30 pm, Friday 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, and weekend hours are closed for veterinary services. The facility is equipped with advanced technology including digital radiology, ultrasound, EKG, laparoscopy, and in-house laboratory, pharmacy, and endoscopy capabilities. Services offered include advanced care such as cardiology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, emergency care, and intensive care, alongside preventative care, dentistry, diagnostics, and routine procedures. Additional services include hospitalization, pain management, radiology, spays and neuters, and house calls, supporting a diverse caseload in a well-equipped clinical setting. The hospital also utilizes hands-free radiology and offers strong operational support across multiple functions.

The team consists of 1 DVM and a great tenured support team, fostering a supportive and collaborative working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
