Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Medical Director to join their team, providing care for small animals. This opportunity is designed for an experienced veterinarian looking to step into a leadership position where they can influence clinical standards, mentor a team, and contribute to building a meaningful and high-quality veterinary practice.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position. Hospital opening hours are Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and closed on Sundays.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will combine clinical and leadership responsibilities, delivering high-quality veterinary care while guiding and influencing the hospital team. Responsibilities include overseeing medical standards, supporting and mentoring veterinarians and staff, and contributing to the overall direction and success of the practice. Clinical duties will include preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, and client communication, ensuring the highest level of patient care. This role is suited to an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a wide range of small animal services within a professional and compassionate clinical environment. Equipment and services include diagnostic imaging such as X-rays and ultrasound, and in-house laboratory capabilities. Additional services include preventive health care, senior care, vaccinations, dental care, parasite prevention including heartworm, fleas and ticks, treatment of ear and skin conditions, spay and neuter procedures, soft tissue surgery, pet boarding, and dog daycare. The practice emphasizes excellence, integrity, warmth, and professionalism in all aspects of patient care.

Team
The hospital has 2 DVMs and a great tenured support team, creating a supportive and collaborative environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
