Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring a full-time Lead Veterinarian to join an established practice that primarily cares for dogs, with a sister branch dedicated to feline patients. For 80 years, the hospital has been committed to providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care while building lasting relationships with the pets and families it serves. The team takes pride in delivering excellent medicine in a supportive, collaborative environment where every patient and every team member matters.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Lead Veterinarian will provide clinical leadership while continuing to practise a high standard of veterinary medicine. Responsibilities include leading and managing the veterinary team, diagnosing and treating patients, performing surgical procedures, and accommodating walk-in appointments. This is a full-time position, with the practice open to discussing a schedule that suits both the successful candidate and the needs of the clinic. The role is suited to an experienced veterinarian.
Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Saturday mornings from 8:00 am to 11:30 am, and is closed on Sundays. Services include wellness care, urgent care and emergency services, dentistry, and surgery. The practice is very well equipped to support the delivery of excellent patient care and provide veterinarians with the tools they need to practise high-quality medicine.
Team
The team consists of 2 DVMs supported by a fantastic team of support staff. You’ll be working alongside a dedicated, highly skilled support team that helps make each day smoother, more rewarding, and enjoyable while fostering a collaborative working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
