Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring a full-time Medical Director to lead a collaborative small animal practice providing advanced medical care for dogs and cats. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced veterinarian seeking a leadership role within a progressive, AAHA-accredited hospital focused on high-quality medicine, team collaboration, and compassionate patient care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will oversee medical standards and quality of care while continuing to provide clinical services to patients. Responsibilities include setting medical policies, reviewing patient records for accuracy and medical excellence, conducting doctor meetings, managing controlled substances, supporting inventory and equipment decisions, and ensuring strong communication between clients and the veterinary team. The role also includes handling medical and surgical cases, supporting hospital operations alongside leadership, and fostering a positive, collaborative culture within the practice. This position is best suited for an experienced veterinarian with strong leadership and communication skills.

Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited full-service animal hospital has been serving the community since 2013 and is equipped with advanced technology including an in-house Idexx laboratory, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, surgical and therapeutic laser, ultrasound, and CT. The hospital features three spacious exam rooms equipped with lift tables and scales to support efficient patient care. Services include vaccinations and prevention, routine exams, internal medicine, emergency care, dental care, geriatric care, puppy and kitten care, cold laser therapy, dental surgery, soft tissue surgery, and orthopedic surgery. Operating hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Saturday from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, and closed Sunday.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
