Introduction
Our client is a general practice veterinary hospital seeking a Medical Director to join their team, working with dogs and cats on a full-time basis. This is an opportunity for a veterinarian to lead a well-established hospital while continuing to practice high-quality medicine in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will be responsible for leading the medical team while maintaining an active role in clinical work. This includes establishing and upholding medical standards, guiding the direction and quality of care within the hospital, and mentoring veterinarians and support staff. The role involves managing a diverse caseload including medical, surgical, and dental cases, while ensuring excellent client service and patient outcomes. The Medical Director will also foster a collaborative culture and support ongoing team development. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian with strong leadership and clinical capabilities.

Practice Details
The hospital has been serving the local community since 1986 and offers a wide range of medical, surgical, and dental services. It operates from a state-of-the-art facility equipped with an in-house laboratory and pharmacy to support efficient diagnostics and treatment. Additional equipment and capabilities include digital radiology, dental X-rays, ultrasound, EKG, and advanced surgical services such as orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. Services offered include preventive care, dentistry, internal medicine, radiology, anesthesia, hospitalization, pain management, and emergency care. The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, and is closed on Sundays. The culture emphasizes collaboration, continuous learning, and high-quality patient care.

Team
The team consists of 3 DVMs and a great tenured support team, creating a collaborative and supportive environment focused on delivering excellent veterinary care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
