Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Medical Director Veterinarian to join their team. The hospital provides care for cats, dogs, pocket pets, reptiles, and small mammals, including rabbits, hamsters, and ferrets.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director Veterinarian will combine the full scope of general practice responsibilities with leadership responsibilities within the hospital. The role is suited to an experienced veterinarian who is comfortable providing clinical care while taking on a leadership position within the team. The schedule is flexible and includes four days per week, Monday through Friday, with a rotating half day on Saturday.

Practice Details
The hospital is well equipped with equipment that enables the team to practise a high standard of veterinary medicine and offers a comfortable, organised workspace. The hospital provides the full scope of GP services, including wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and dentistry. Opening hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 12:00pm, with the hospital closed on Sundays.

Team
The hospital is home to a team of two DVMs alongside a great team of support staff.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
