Our client is a hospital that is hiring a full-time Medical Director to lead its veterinary team while continuing to provide exceptional patient care. Established in 2007, this deeply rooted veterinary practice has built a reputation as a trusted partner in pet healthcare and maintains an excellent 4.8-star Google rating. Caring for cats and dogs, the hospital offers an opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to take on a key leadership position within a well-established practice.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position involves undertaking the full scope of Veterinary Medical Director responsibilities while serving as the champion of medical excellence within the hospital. The successful candidate will mentor and develop associate veterinarians, partner with the Practice Manager to build a healthy and engaged team, and drive the continuous improvement of patient care and client service. This is a key leadership role where you will set the standard for clinical quality while fostering a culture of collaboration and growth. Specific working hours are to be discussed further. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of practical clinical experience and be confident leading both clinical and team development initiatives.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Providing a full scope of GP services, the practice also offers services including, but not limited to, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, and Laser Surgery, creating a varied and rewarding caseload. The hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic technology including, but not limited to, Digital X-Ray, Digital Dental X-Ray, and Ultrasound. Additional services include pet boarding, Laser Therapy, and Behaviour Therapy, further enhancing the level of care available to patients and clients.

Team
You will be leading a team of 2 DVMs, supported by dedicated veterinary technicians and client service professionals who share a commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care. The hospital is led by a supportive leadership team focused on the success and well-being of its associates, fostering a collaborative culture built on teamwork, communication, and professional growth. Together, the team works seamlessly to deliver exceptional patient care and client service while maintaining a positive and supportive workplace environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
