Our client is a hospital providing care for dogs and cats and is seeking a full-time Medical Director to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in guiding the clinical direction of the hospital while continuing to practice high-quality medicine.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will provide both clinical and leadership support while maintaining an active caseload. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality medical, surgical, and preventative care, mentoring and supporting the veterinary team, promoting clinical excellence, and fostering a collaborative working environment. The successful candidate will work closely with hospital leadership to maintain exceptional standards of patient care, encourage professional development, strengthen client relationships, and help drive the continued success of the hospital. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian with strong leadership skills and a passion for developing both people and practice.

Practice Details
This modern small animal hospital provides comprehensive primary care services for dogs and cats in a well-equipped clinical environment. The hospital features a dedicated dental suite, dental radiology, digital radiography, diagnostic ultrasound, electronic medical records, cold and therapeutic laser technology, ECG, hands-free radiology, an in-house laboratory, an in-house pharmacy, and a dedicated surgical suite. Services include wellness and health examinations, allergy and itchy skin relief, anaesthesia, dental care, dentistry, dental X-rays, digital radiology, general surgery, routine surgery, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedic surgery, spays and neuters, ultrasound, pain management, euthanasia services, and pharmacy services. The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Team
The hospital is supported by a team of 3 full-time DVMs, 2 Credentialed Veterinary Technicians, and 2 Veterinary Assistants. The collaborative team is committed to clinical excellence, mentorship, continuous learning, and delivering exceptional care while fostering strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
