Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital in Edgewater, Florida, seeking an experienced Medical Director to lead their well-established, full-service clinic. The hospital provides high-quality veterinary care supported by advanced technology, modern facilities, and a dedicated team. They have been proudly serving pets in Volusia County since 2007 and offer a wide range of services including routine medical care, in-house diagnostics, dental care, cold laser therapy, and more.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, remaining closed on Sundays. The schedule follows these operating hours, and no additional Rota information has been provided.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will oversee high-quality clinical care, encompassing areas such as routine medical services, in-house diagnostics, dental procedures, cold laser therapy, preventive medicine, internal medicine, surgery, and wellness care. This role involves providing leadership, supporting a collaborative environment, and ensuring excellent client service. The position is open to experienced veterinarians only.

Practice Details
This hospital provides a full spectrum of veterinary care spanning preventive medicine, wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite control, adult and senior wellness, new pet packages, and allergy support. Advanced care offerings include cold laser therapy, digital radiology, soft tissue surgery, Tono vet, and comprehensive diagnostic capabilities through an in-house laboratory and pharmacy. Facilities include an in-office surgical suite, dental care resources, and equipment to support general and soft tissue surgery as well as anesthetic monitoring.

Team
The team consists of two DVMs supported by a great support staff, working together in a collaborative and client-focused environment.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
