Job Description
Introduction
Our client is seeking a full-time Regional Medical Director to oversee veterinary practices in Colorado. This role offers the opportunity to set and uphold the highest standards of care across multiple hospitals while developing and supporting doctor teams to deliver excellence in client and patient care.
Working Hours / Rota
The full-time schedule will be arranged to support work-life balance while meeting the needs of the hospitals within the territory.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Regional Medical Director is responsible for setting the highest standard of care and working with doctor teams to achieve that standard. Regional Medical Directors team with Regional Operations Directors to develop the team, drive hospitals toward best practices, and lead them in pursuing excellence in client and patient care. This position territory will cover parts of Colorado, south of Denver, and onto the Western Slope. Cities will include, but are not limited to, Evergreen, Grand Junction, Castle Rock, Colorado Springs, Eagle, Basalt, Glenwood Springs, Centennial, and Parker. Responsibilities include developing strong relationships with veterinary teams, recruiting and onboarding experienced and new graduate DVMs, setting and adhering to high standards of veterinary medicine across all practices within the group, assisting with day-to-day operations of the practices, and ensuring compliance with all local, state, federal, and DEA regulations.
Practice Details and Team
The Regional Medical Director will support a network of veterinary hospitals across the designated Colorado territory, guiding them toward operational and clinical best practices within a collaborative, supportive structure.
Team Size
The role involves working with multiple hospital teams and collaborating closely with Regional Operations Directors to support doctors, technicians, and administrative staff across all sites.
Requirements
Candidates should have experience managing multi-site veterinary hospitals and hospital ownership or lead veterinary experience.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
