Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Medical Director to lead their full-service small animal practice. The hospital provides comprehensive companion animal care including vaccinations, routine wellness, parasite prevention, illness and injury management, imaging, surgery, dentistry, and prescription services. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian who is passionate about clinical excellence, team leadership, and advancing high-quality veterinary medicine within a well-supported hospital environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The position offers full-time or part-time flexibility. The hospital operates Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Wednesday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The hospital is closed Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As Medical Director, you will remain clinically active while setting and upholding medical standards across the hospital. Responsibilities include leading patient care across wellness, diagnostics, surgery, and dentistry; mentoring and supporting the veterinary and paraprofessional team; collaborating with medical field leadership; and fostering a culture centered on quality and professional growth. The role emphasizes autonomy in clinical decision-making, strong client communication, and guiding the team in delivering consistent, high-quality medicine. This position is open to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with ultrasound, heated hydraulic surgery tables, and digital diagnostic radiography (DDXR). Services include Vaccinations, Routine Wellness, Flea, Tick & Heartworm Prevention, Illness & Injury Care, Imaging, Surgery, Dentistry, and Prescription Medication management. The practice is supported by medical field leaders and encourages team members to expand their expertise in areas such as dentistry and nutrition, promoting continuous clinical development.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
