Our client is a hospital providing mixed animal care and is seeking a full-time Lead Veterinarian to join their team in Culpeper, Virginia. This well-established practice has built deep roots within the community, with generations of clients trusting the hospital for their pets’ care. Role Description and Responsibilities
The Lead Veterinarian will provide exceptional medical care while supporting the continued growth and success of the hospital. Responsibilities include managing a varied caseload, developing strong client relationships, supporting team collaboration, and contributing to the delivery of personalized treatment plans. Clinical services include preventative care, advanced dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, therapeutic services, grooming support, and end-of-life care. Surgical procedures performed at the hospital include cystotomies, femoral head ostectomies, cruciate ligament repairs, limb amputations, and mass removals. Advanced dental services include full-mouth radiographs, complete oral evaluations, professional cleanings, and extractions when required. This position is intended for experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
The hospital is a thriving companion animal practice equipped with advanced technology and supported by a highly experienced team. Equipment and facilities include an in-house laboratory, digital radiology, surgical suites, dental suites, ultrasound, and laser therapy capabilities. Services offered include preventative care, advanced dentistry, surgery, diagnostics and therapeutic services, and end-of-life care. Diagnostic capabilities include full laboratory testing through both in-house and reference laboratory services, ultrasound, digital radiographs, and laser therapy for pain management and healing support. The practice maintains a strong commitment to individualized patient care, nutritional and behavioral counseling, customized treatment plans, and work-life balance. Hospital hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm, Saturday from 7:30am to 1:00pm, and closed on Sundays.

Team
The hospital is staffed by 4 DVMs and a great tenured support team. The practice benefits from a high technician-to-doctor ratio, with many support team members having been with the hospital for more than 15 years. The culture emphasizes collaboration, communication, team wellbeing, and delivering exceptional patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
