Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a environmentally conscientious veterinary hospital located in Crozet, Virginia. They are seeking a passionate Medical Director to join their team. The hospital is known for blending traditional veterinary medicine with integrative therapies to deliver compassionate and empathetic care for canine, feline, avian, and exotic patients.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM and on Saturdays from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM. It is closed on Sundays. This position is offered on a full-time basis.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will be responsible for delivering comprehensive care that includes traditional veterinary medicine, surgery, dentistry, and a range of integrative services such as acupuncture, herbal and nutritional therapies, chiropractic care, rehabilitation therapy, and therapeutic laser treatment. An interest in integrative medicine is a plus. The role supports a diverse caseload including canine, feline, avian, and exotic pets.
Practice Details
The hospital offers a broad spectrum of services including traditional care, holistic therapies, rehabilitation, exotic pet care, and surgery. It is fully equipped with digital radiographs, an in-house laboratory, pharmacy, anesthetic monitoring and pain control systems, ultrasound, and an underwater treadmill for rehabilitation therapy. The practice fosters a progressive and innovative clinical environment while remaining rooted in compassionate, patient-centered care.
Team
The successful candidate will join a team of 6 DVMs. The hospital promotes a collaborative and supportive culture, focused on excellence in both traditional and integrative veterinary medicine.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
