Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Medical Director to lead their veterinary team. This role focuses on overseeing clinical standards, supporting veterinarians, and driving a collaborative environment that delivers high-quality patient care and exceptional client service.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director is responsible for advancing medical care, leading associate veterinarians, and ensuring regulatory compliance in the practice of veterinary medicine. The role includes creating a collaborative team environment, overseeing clinical operations, and contributing to the hospital’s financial performance and growth alongside the Hospital Manager. Clinical responsibilities include providing comprehensive veterinary care such as wellness, diagnostics, surgery, and dentistry, while maintaining high standards of patient care. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian with strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
Practice Details
The hospital operates from 8:00am to 6:00pm on weekdays, 8:00am to 12:00pm on Saturdays, and is closed on Sundays. It offers a full range of services including wellness and preventive care, diagnostics, hospitalization, senior care, dental services, general surgery, radiology, pharmacy, anesthesia, and parasite control. The facility includes in-house and external laboratory capabilities, digital radiography, and portable ultrasound. The practice emphasizes high-quality, progressive, and individualized care with a focus on disease prevention and patient wellbeing, supported by modern diagnostic tools and technology.
Team
The team consists of 3 DVMs supported by trained veterinary technicians, working collaboratively to deliver individualized patient care in a supportive and professional environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
