Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital seeking a Medical Director to lead their team in a full-time position, providing care for dogs and cats.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care while leading and developing the veterinary team. This role combines hands-on responsibilities such as performing examinations, diagnostics, surgeries, dentistry, and complex procedures with leadership duties including mentoring veterinarians, supporting clinical development, and fostering a collaborative culture. You will oversee hospital performance, review financial metrics, and partner with operational leaders to ensure efficiency and high standards of care. The role also involves building strong relationships with clients, promoting compassionate care, and driving continuous improvement in both medical quality and client experience. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with advanced technology including cloud-based practice management systems, digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, Doppler blood pressure monitoring, radiograph interpretation AI, and in-house diagnostic tools. Services include routine wellness care, diagnostics, imaging, dental procedures such as extractions and prophylaxis, and surgical procedures including spays, neuters, abdominal exploratory surgeries, and mass removals. Additional services include vaccinations, microchipping, and parasite prevention. The hospital operates Monday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday to Saturday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays. The environment supports clinical autonomy, professional development through continuing education and leadership training, and a strong focus on work-life balance with no on-call requirements.

Team
The hospital is supported by a team of licensed veterinary technicians and assistants, alongside collaboration with local medical directors, fostering a supportive and team-oriented environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
