Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for a full-time Medical Lead Veterinarian within an AAHA-accredited small animal practice. The hospital is dedicated exclusively to small animal medicine, treating dogs and cats, and is known for delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a collaborative and professional environment. This role offers the opportunity to take on a leadership position while continuing to practice advanced clinical medicine.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Lead Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care including wellness exams, diagnostics, surgery, and dentistry, while leading the clinical direction of the hospital. Responsibilities include mentoring and developing associate veterinarians, establishing and maintaining medical standards, and fostering a collaborative, team-oriented culture. The role also involves partnering with hospital leadership to support operational performance, guide team development, and ensure high standards of patient care and client communication. In addition to leadership duties, the Medical Lead will remain hands-on clinically, managing cases from diagnosis through treatment and supporting the ongoing development of the veterinary team. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian with leadership interest and strong communication skills.

The hospital is AAHA accredited and equipped to support high-quality small animal medicine, with access to advanced diagnostic tools and internal specialty consultations for complex case management. Services include wellness and preventive care, vaccinations, dermatology, dental care, surgery, diagnostics, nutrition support, parasite prevention, and senior care. The practice emphasizes a high standard of care, supported by modern equipment and a culture focused on continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional development.

Team
The team consists of 2 DVMs supported by a skilled and collaborative support staff. The environment is team-oriented and emphasizes mentorship, communication, and professional growth, enabling veterinarians to practice high-quality medicine with strong clinical and operational support.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
