Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a full-service small animal hospital located in Charlotte, NC. Accredited by the AAHA and serving the local community for over 25 years, they are now seeking a Medical Director to lead their team and continue delivering exceptional standards of veterinary care.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm. This is a full-time role based on a four-day workweek with rotating Saturdays, offering an excellent balance of leadership and clinical responsibilities.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will be responsible for leading the veterinary team while providing high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care. Clinical duties include preventive wellness, diagnostics, internal medicine, radiology, pain management, and soft tissue surgery. Leadership responsibilities include mentoring the support team, guiding hospital protocols, and ensuring standards of care remain at the highest level. The position is open to experienced veterinarians who are ready to step into a leadership role.
Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA accredited and equipped with ultrasound, digital radiology, and full surgical facilities. Services offered include wellness and preventive care, dentistry, internal medicine, pain management, surgery, and diabetes care. Team
The hospital currently has one veterinarian and a highly capable support team. This position represents an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role and grow the hospital’s veterinary team while benefiting from a strong foundation of experienced support staff.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
