Job Description
Introduction
A well-established small animal hospital in Chandler, Arizona is seeking a Medical Director to lead and grow its clinical team. Currently a single-doctor practice, this is a unique opportunity for a veterinarian to step into a leadership role with real impact, shaping the future of the hospital while building a team and driving clinical standards within a supportive and growth-focused environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and is closed on weekends, providing a consistent weekday schedule with no on-call responsibilities and a strong focus on work-life balance.
Role Description and Responsibilities
As Medical Director, you will combine clinical practice with leadership responsibilities, delivering high-quality small animal medicine while mentoring future veterinarians, establishing medical protocols, supporting hospital performance, and fostering a collaborative and positive team culture alongside the Practice Manager.

This full-service small animal hospital offers a wide range of services including wellness care, diagnostics, surgery, and urgent care, supporting a varied caseload within a well-established practice that is positioned for growth and development under new clinical leadership.
Team
You will initially lead a single-doctor setting supported by a dedicated support team, with the opportunity to recruit, mentor, and develop additional veterinarians as the hospital continues to expand and strengthen its presence within the community.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
