Introduction
This established small animal and exotic practice in Central Point, Oregon is seeking a Medical Director to lead its single-doctor hospital. Serving the Rogue Valley community for more than 20 years, the practice provides comprehensive general practice care alongside surgery, dentistry, and urgent care services. Equipped with modern diagnostic technology and offering significant clinical autonomy, this is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian looking to combine leadership with hands-on medicine. The hospital is open Monday to Thursday from 8:00am to 5:30pm and is closed Friday through Sunday, providing an exceptional work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As Medical Director, you’ll lead the clinical direction of the hospital while continuing to practice high-quality medicine. Responsibilities include providing preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and urgent care services, mentoring and supporting the veterinary team, maintaining medical standards, overseeing case management, and working closely with hospital leadership to drive continued growth. You’ll have the autonomy to shape the hospital’s culture while building lasting relationships with clients and their pets.

Practice Details
This full-service general practice cares for small animals and exotics using digital radiography, ultrasound, and digital dental radiography. The hospital offers a varied caseload spanning wellness care, medicine, surgery, dentistry, and urgent care, allowing veterinarians to utilise a broad range of clinical skills while practising with modern equipment in a well-established community practice.

Team
You’ll lead a close-knit team consisting of one veterinarian alongside experienced technicians, client service representatives, and dedicated support staff. The practice promotes a collaborative, supportive culture where teamwork, mentorship, and exceptional patient care are at the heart of daily practice.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
