Introduction
Our client is a hospital that is hiring a Medical Director on a full-time basis. This full-service facility has been serving the community since 1988 and has earned an excellent reputation, reflected in its outstanding 4.7-star Google rating. Caring for dogs and cats, as well as avian, exotic, and pocket pets, the practice also actively engages in mixed animal medicine, offering farm calls for horses, cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs. This is an exciting leadership opportunity within a diverse and well-established practice.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position involves the full scope of Medical Director responsibilities, combining clinical practice with leadership and mentorship. You will champion medical excellence across the hospital, mentor and develop associate veterinarians, partner with the Practice Manager to build a healthy and engaged team, and drive the continuous improvement of patient care and client service. You will lead and mentor the DVM team through regular performance discussions and development planning while fostering a culture of teamwork and retention. The role also includes setting the standard for clinical quality, client service, and efficiency while continuing to practice medicine and achieve personal production goals.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am to 3:00pm, and is open on select Sundays from 8:00am to 3:00pm. Services include a full scope of GP services, Urgent Care, and Orthopedics, providing a varied caseload across companion animal, exotic, and mixed animal medicine. The practice is equipped with, but not limited to, Digital X-Ray, Digital Dental X-Ray, Ultrasound, and Tonopen technology. Additional services include Pet Boarding and Laser Surgery.

Team
You will be joining a team of 5 DVMs supported by dedicated veterinary technicians and client service professionals who share a commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care. The hospital is led by a supportive leadership team focused on the success and well-being of its associates, fostering a collaborative culture built on teamwork, communication, and professional growth.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
