Introduction
Our client is a well-established, full-service veterinary hospital seeking a full-time Medical Director to join and lead its team. The practice provides general practice and same-day urgent care services, with a caseload encompassing small animals and exotics. The hospital offers a diverse caseload ranging from routine wellness and preventative medicine through to more complex medical and surgical cases.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will combine clinical practice with medical leadership, providing comprehensive care across wellness and preventative medicine, internal medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, and same-day urgent care. Alongside their clinical responsibilities, the Medical Director will provide leadership to the veterinary team and support the continued development of the hospital. The role offers clinical autonomy and opportunities to develop individual areas of interest within a varied caseload. The position has no weekend, after-hours emergency, or on-call responsibilities.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. The practice is equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography, laser therapy, laboratory capabilities, and fully equipped dental and surgical suites. Services include wellness and preventative care, dentistry, surgery, laser surgery, diagnostics and imaging, urgent care, end-of-life care, laboratory services, microchipping, nutritional guidance, and pharmacy services. The hospital has an established client base and provides access to additional clinical resources while allowing its veterinarians to maintain medical autonomy.

Team
The hospital has two DVMs supported by an experienced and dedicated support team. The Medical Director will work within a collaborative and laid-back environment with strong technician support, providing medical leadership while supporting teamwork and professional growth. The practice emphasizes clinical autonomy, collaboration, mentorship, and continued development.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
