Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a general practice hospital seeking a full-time Medical Director to join their team. The hospital provides care for dogs and cats and is looking for an experienced veterinarian to lead clinical standards within a well-equipped practice.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will combine clinical and leadership responsibilities, providing high-quality care including wellness exams, sick visits, surgery, and dental procedures. Responsibilities include mentoring team members, supporting collaboration, maintaining high medical standards, and fostering strong client relationships. The role requires a veterinarian who is passionate about delivering world-class medicine, teaching others, and contributing to a positive and supportive team environment. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian and follows a schedule of Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm and is closed on weekends. It is equipped with advanced technology including digital radiology, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, and dental x-ray, with additional capabilities such as hands-free radiology. The facility is AAHA accredited and also accredited by the Feline Veterinary Medical Association as a cat-friendly practice. Services include wellness exams, preventive care, immunizations, parasite control, microchipping, weight management, diagnostics, dental care, general and orthopedic surgery, pain management, hospitalization, and intensive care. The hospital also offers access to nearby 24-hour specialty care and supports a high standard of medicine within a collaborative and growth-focused environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
