Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing advanced small animal veterinary care and is seeking a Medical Director Veterinarian to lead their clinical team. This full-service practice is equipped with modern technology and delivers high-quality medicine focused on cats and dogs.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm. This is a full-time position.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director Veterinarian will oversee medical standards, guide clinical protocols, and lead the veterinary team while continuing to provide hands-on patient care. Responsibilities include performing surgeries such as spays, neuters, laceration repairs, and mass removals, as well as delivering wellness care, sick visits, and dental procedures. The role involves fostering a collaborative team environment, mentoring colleagues, and ensuring the highest standards of veterinary medicine are upheld. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
This is an AAHA accredited hospital offering a wide range of services for cats and dogs, including wellness exams, sick visits, surgical procedures, dental care, diagnostics, and preventive medicine. The facility is equipped with advanced technology such as digital radiology, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, dental X-ray, and hands-free radiology, and also offers access to a scribe system. Additional services include orthopedic surgery, cold laser therapy, hospitalization, intensive care, and comprehensive diagnostic capabilities. The hospital benefits from close proximity to 24-hour specialty care, supporting a high standard of patient outcomes.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
