Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing veterinary care for dogs and cats in Cape Coral, Florida. They are seeking an experienced Medical Director Veterinarian to join their team on a full-time basis. The hospital combines comprehensive veterinary medicine with a strong focus on leadership, high-quality patient care, professional development, and building trusted relationships within the local community.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director Veterinarian will continue practicing clinically while establishing the direction and medical quality of the hospital. The role involves providing leadership and mentorship to the veterinary team, supporting a positive hospital culture, encouraging continued learning and professional growth, and maintaining high standards of patient care and client service. The Medical Director will also receive support across operations, marketing, human resources, and payroll. This position is specifically for an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The hospital provides advanced care, primary and preventive care, advanced dentistry, animal rehabilitation, bone and joint surgery, soft tissue surgery, dermatology, diabetes management, alternative and holistic medicine, Chinese herbal medicine, herbal medicine, boarding, grooming, and pet counseling. Clinical capabilities and equipment include digital radiology, EKG, ultrasound, Tonopen, and cold laser therapy. The hospital continues to invest in medical equipment, technology, and services to support patient outcomes and client care. Opening hours are Monday and Friday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the hospital closed on Sundays.

The hospital has three DVMs and a great tenured support team. The environment emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, teaching, continued learning, professional growth, and teamwork, with experienced veterinarians and dedicated support staff focused on patient care and client service.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
