Our client is a veterinary hospital hiring for a full-time Medical Director to join their small animal team caring for dogs and cats. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian seeking a leadership position within a collaborative hospital environment supported by advanced technology, modern facilities, and a highly supportive team culture focused on exceptional patient care and work/life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will oversee high-quality veterinary care across a diverse small animal caseload that includes wellness appointments, sick patient care, routine surgeries, and palliative care. The role involves leading the medical team while fostering collaboration, communication, and a positive hospital culture. Clinical responsibilities include advanced diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, internal medicine, radiology, and preventive care services. This position is open to experienced veterinarians only and does not involve overnight hospitalization.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. The practice is AAHA-accredited and equipped with advanced technology including ultrasound, cold laser therapy, an in-house laboratory, digital dental radiology, whole-body radiology, EKG equipment, and a dedicated surgical suite featuring cautery, multiparameter monitors, patient warming devices, and an oxygen cage. Facilities include separate cat and dog boarding areas, a beautifully maintained astro-turfed outdoor yard for boarders and doggie daycare campers, a retail boutique, and hands-free radiology focused on safety and efficiency. Services offered include advanced care, advanced dental care, dermatology, digital radiology, ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery, acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, holistic medicine, anesthesia, dentistry, dental x-rays, full diagnostics, general surgery, geriatric medicine, hospice care, hospitalization, internal medicine, pain management, radiology, routine surgeries, spays and neuters, and urology. Team

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
