Our client is a veterinary hospital that is hiring for a full-time Medical Director. The hospital sees cats and dogs and is committed to practicing high-quality, progressive, and individualized medical care for its patients. Role Description and Responsibilities
This role involves a full scope of Medical Director responsibilities within a collaborative and progressive hospital environment. The Medical Director is responsible for providing medical leadership for the hospital, managing associate veterinarians, and ensuring regulatory compliance relating to the practice of veterinary medicine. Responsibilities also include fostering an environment of teamwork where quality medicine and exceptional client service are consistently delivered. In partnership with the Hospital Manager, the Medical Director will oversee the financial performance and general operations of the hospital under the guidance of leadership while helping cultivate a supportive and collaborative team culture. The successful candidate will play a key role in mentoring veterinarians, maintaining high medical standards, and supporting the continued growth and success of the hospital. Specific doctor hours will be discussed. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian with strong leadership, communication, and clinical skills.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 10:00am to 6:00pm, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Equipment available includes, but is not limited to, digital dental X-ray, digital X-ray, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, and an on-site pharmacy, supporting advanced diagnostics and patient care across a varied caseload. The hospital features a state-of-the-art facility designed to support efficient workflows and high-quality veterinary medicine. The practice is AAHA accredited. Services offered include a full scope of GP services, acupuncture, and chiropractic veterinary medicine.

Team
The successful candidate will work alongside a team of three DVMs within a collaborative and highly supportive clinical environment. The practice maintains a minimum 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio, ensuring veterinarians are fully supported in delivering high-quality patient care. The collaborative culture across the hospital encourages teamwork, communication, education, and shared clinical excellence, creating an environment focused on providing seamless and compassionate care to both patients and clients while supporting continued professional development across all departments.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
