Introduction
Our client is a well-established small animal hospital seeking a full-time Medical Director to lead their clinical team while delivering high-quality care to dogs and cats.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role combines hands-on clinical work with leadership responsibilities, including providing medical, surgical, and dental care such as soft tissue surgery, spays and neuters, and dentals. The Medical Director will oversee medical standards, mentor and support veterinarians, and foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate medical records, ensuring quality patient care, and working closely with the wider team to drive clinical excellence and hospital performance. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian who is confident in both clinical practice and leadership.

Practice Details
The hospital has been serving its community for over 35 years and operates Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with Sundays closed. It is AAHA accredited and equipped with digital x-ray including dental and regular radiographs, Smart DR, surgical cautery, and electronic medical records supported by user-friendly software. Services offered include advanced dental care, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, echocardiography, ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery, ultrasound, preventive care, wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite control, weight management, internal medicine support, anesthesia, dental care and dental x-rays, full diagnostics, general surgery, geriatric medicine, hospitalization, in-house laboratory and pharmacy, surgical suite, isolation ward, oxygen and transfusion therapy, pain management, radiology, routine surgeries, and urology. The hospital is also an animal quarantine approved facility and emphasizes high standards of veterinary care through accreditation.

The hospital has 5 DVMs and a great tenured support team, creating a collaborative and supportive working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
