Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Medical Director. The practice provides comprehensive veterinary care for cats and dogs and is looking for an experienced veterinarian to lead the medical team while continuing to deliver high-quality small animal medicine in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will combine clinical practice with medical leadership, establishing the direction and maintaining the quality of medicine throughout the hospital. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive medical care, diagnostics, preventative medicine, and general surgery while mentoring and supporting the veterinary team. The role also involves collaborating with hospital leadership, fostering a positive and supportive culture, promoting client education, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. The successful candidate will work alongside veterinarians with varying levels of experience in a collaborative environment focused on continuous learning and clinical excellence. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 7:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The practice is equipped with ultrasound, dental X-ray, echocardiography, EKG, in-house endoscopy, an in-house laboratory, an in-house pharmacy, an in-office surgical suite, diagnostic imaging, radiology, and isolation and intensive care facilities. Services include advanced care, advanced dental care, chemotherapy, primary care, alternative medicine, canine and feline diabetes management, allergy and itchy skin relief, anesthesia, an animal quarantine approved hospital, dental care, dentistry, DNA breed testing, ear checks, euthanasia services, full diagnostics, general surgery, geriatric medicine, health certificates, health examinations, hospice care, hospitalization, internal medicine, oxygen and transfusion therapy, pain management, pet loss support, root canals, routine surgeries, spays and neuters, urology, wellness plans, grooming, boarding, and home delivery services. The practice offers a spacious, modern facility that supports comprehensive small animal medicine with a collaborative approach to patient care.

Team
You will join a team of 3 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team. The hospital promotes a collaborative environment where veterinarians with varying levels of experience work together, encouraging mentorship, teamwork, and professional development while delivering exceptional patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
