Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital dedicated to providing care for cats and dogs, and they are hiring for a Medical Director. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to take on a key leadership role within a well-established general practice setting.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 6pm and is closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position, with doctor hours open to discussion to allow for flexibility in scheduling.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of general practice responsibilities, providing comprehensive care to feline and canine patients. In addition to clinical duties, the Medical Director will serve as a key leader within the hospital, driving positive change and growth. The successful candidate will help shape the hospital’s vision, foster an exceptional culture, and uphold high standards of patient and client care. Working closely with the practice manager and leadership team, they will develop strategies, implement improvements, and guide the hospital towards continued excellence, while also supporting the professional development of staff. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian.

The hospital is well-equipped and offers a full scope of general practice services for cats and dogs.

Team
The team currently includes one DVM and a great group of supportive staff, contributing to a collaborative and positive working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
