Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing care for cats and dogs and is hiring a full-time Medical Director. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced veterinarian looking to lead a well-equipped practice while continuing to practice high-quality medicine in a collaborative environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will be responsible for the full scope of GP responsibilities while helping to guide the clinical team and maintain a high standard of patient care. The role includes wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, dentistry, and urgent care services. The schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts with rotating Saturdays. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, and is closed on Sundays. The practice is equipped with the latest veterinary technology and services, including digital radiology, in-house labs, routine surgery equipment, ultrasound, and more. The hospital offers a full scope of GP services, including wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and dentistry, alongside urgent care services. The team is committed to using fear-free techniques whenever possible and is recognised as a Cat Friendly Practice Gold hospital.

Team
The practice currently has 4 DVMs supported by a great team of support staff. The environment is designed to support collaboration and high-quality patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
