Introduction
Our client is a hospital that is hiring a Medical Director on a full-time basis. Caring for cats and dogs, this full-service veterinary practice is one of four locations and provides a comprehensive range of veterinary services. This opportunity offers the chance to lead an established team while helping shape the continued success of the hospital through both clinical and operational leadership.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role involves the full scope of Medical Director responsibilities, combining clinical practice with leadership, mentorship, and business oversight. Responsibilities include maintaining medical standards and protocols, promoting accurate patient records, discussing cases with the veterinary team to optimize patient care, supporting client service initiatives, mentoring associate veterinarians, developing technical staff, and working alongside hospital leadership on operational and financial objectives. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience practicing small animal veterinary medicine, experience providing objective leadership, and the ability to effectively balance medical, business, and team priorities.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00am to 8:00pm, Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, and Saturday from 8:00am to 2:00pm. Services include the full scope of GP services, providing a varied companion animal caseload. The hospital is equipped with, but not limited to, Digital Dental X-Ray, Digital X-Ray, and Ultrasound. The practice is supported by Fear Free Professionals and also offers Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, allowing for a broad approach to patient care.

Team
You will be joining a team of 4 DVMs supported by dedicated veterinary technicians and client service professionals who share a commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care. The hospital is led by a supportive leadership team focused on the success and well-being of its associates, fostering a collaborative culture built on teamwork, communication, and professional growth.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
