Our client is a well-established veterinary hospital in Austell, GA, seeking an experienced Veterinary Medical Director to lead their dedicated team. Serving the community for over 30 years, the hospital is committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality veterinary care for cats and dogs in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. This is a full-time role with no Sunday hours required, offering a healthy work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Medical Director will oversee all medical aspects of the hospital, managing and mentoring associate veterinarians, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence. In addition to leadership duties, the Medical Director will provide high-quality veterinary care, including preventive medicine, diagnostics, dental procedures, and surgery. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, professional ethics, and a commitment to outstanding patient care.

Practice Details
The hospital features a dedicated surgical suite, new dental radiography equipment, ultrasonography, an advanced diagnostic lab, and a dedicated doctor’s office for charting and client communication. With a long-standing client base and reputation for compassionate, high-quality care, the practice provides a wide range of services including preventive care, dental care, surgery, internal medicine, and nutritional counseling.

Team
The hospital currently has a team of 2 veterinarians supported by seasoned leadership and a skilled support staff, fostering a collaborative and mentoring-focused environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
