Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital providing comprehensive care to dogs and cats and is currently hiring for a Medical Director Veterinarian position. Since 1947, the hospital has established a deep history in the Arlington community, built on a foundation of experienced leadership and comprehensive care.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position, with doctor hours open to discussion.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director Veterinarian will be responsible for the full scope of general practice clinical duties alongside leadership responsibilities. This role is suited to an experienced veterinarian who is comfortable balancing hands-on clinical work with guiding and supporting the veterinary team.

Practice Details
The hospital is well-equipped and AAHA accredited. It offers a full scope of general practice services, as well as urgent care and laser therapy, supporting a varied and engaging caseload.

Team
The practice is supported by a team of six DVMs alongside well-trained support staff, fostering a professional and collaborative working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
