Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for a Medical Director. This is a primary care veterinary hospital serving cats and dogs in the northern Chicago suburbs. The role is a full-time leadership position based in Arlington Heights, focused on guiding clinical standards, hospital culture, and medical excellence while continuing to practice medicine.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday, Thursday, and Saturday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Tuesday and Friday from 8:00am to 2:30pm, and is closed on Wednesdays and Sundays. The position is full-time and offers a flexible four-day work week.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will provide medical leadership while practicing clinical medicine, partnering closely with the practice manager and leadership team to guide the hospital’s vision, culture, and standards of care. Responsibilities include driving improvements in patient and client care, supporting and developing team members, implementing medical and operational strategies, and maintaining high-quality primary care services. Clinical responsibilities include wellness and preventive care, surgery, vaccinations, and diagnostic services. The role is intended for an experienced veterinarian with leadership capability.

The hospital provides primary care services for cats and dogs, including wellness and preventive care, surgery, vaccinations, and diagnostic testing. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
