Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing care for cats and dogs and is seeking a full-time Lead Veterinarian to join their team in Apex, North Carolina. This full-service veterinary hospital is committed to delivering modern, state-of-the-art veterinary care in a compassionate environment. The successful candidate will serve as the medical leader of the practice, helping to create a positive and collaborative workplace while ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and supporting the overall success of the hospital.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Lead Veterinarian will oversee the medical care of all patients while maintaining an active caseload of appointments and surgeries. Responsibilities include collaborating with the clinical team and leadership, partnering with hospital leadership to ensure medical quality, assisting the Practice Manager with staffing and scheduling, serving as the veterinarian of record for all required hospital permits and licenses, and encouraging the growth of support staff through the internal LevelUp training program. The role also involves building relationships within the practice and the local community. This opportunity is intended for experienced veterinarians, including those with established leadership experience as well as veterinarians seeking to develop into leadership positions with mentorship and support.

Practice Details
Established in 2000, the hospital has grown into a multi-doctor, full-service practice dedicated to providing personalized care tailored to the unique needs of each pet. The practice is AAHA-accredited and utilizes modern equipment including digital radiology, dental X-ray, and AVImark practice management software to support the delivery of high-quality veterinary medicine. Services offered include dentistry, end-of-life care, labs and diagnostics, microchipping, pain management, parasite prevention, and surgery. The hospital has been recognized as a Neighborhood Favorite in Apex for seven consecutive years. Hospital hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm, Saturday from 7:30am to 12:00pm, and closed on Sundays.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
