Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital seeking a Medical Director to lead their team, offering full-time schedule working with dogs and cats.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will combine clinical excellence with leadership responsibilities, providing high-quality medical care across general practice services including wellness exams, dentistry, surgery, and internal medicine. In addition to diagnosing and treating illnesses, performing surgical procedures, and delivering comprehensive dental care, you will be responsible for mentoring and guiding the veterinary team, setting clinical standards, and fostering a collaborative and supportive hospital culture. You will oversee medical protocols, support team development, ensure high standards of patient care, and maintain strong client relationships. Administrative responsibilities include partnering with leadership to support hospital operations and performance while maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role is suited to an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
This is a well-established hospital focused on delivering compassionate, high-quality care in a welcoming and client-focused environment. The practice is equipped with advanced technology including digital radiology, ultrasound, tonometry, in-house blood analyzers, and electronic medical records. Services offered include wellness care, dental care, surgical services, diagnostics, laboratory services, end-of-life care, microchipping, pharmacy services, and specialty services such as laser therapy. The hospital places a strong emphasis on comprehensive dental care, including oral exams, professional cleanings, and extractions. Operating hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with the hospital closed on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The team currently consists of 1 DVM supported by a great tenured support team, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
