Introduction
Our client is a practice providing small animal general veterinary care for dogs and cats and is seeking a Medical Director Veterinarian to lead their well-established and community-focused team. This respected clinic offers a supportive environment with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality care and building lasting client relationships.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position, with Saturday coverage required.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care across a varied caseload including routine wellness and preventative care, surgery, dentistry, and urgent care. In addition to clinical duties, the role involves leading and mentoring the veterinary team, upholding medical standards, and fostering a collaborative and supportive culture. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian with a passion for leadership, patient care, and team development.

Practice Details
This is a small animal general practice with an average daily patient volume of approximately 11 cases per DVM, offering a caseload that includes wellness care, surgery, dentistry, and urgent care. The clinic is equipped with point-of-care ultrasound, digital radiography, dental radiography, and in-house Idexx laboratory capabilities. The practice is well-established within the community and is known for its calm, supportive environment and strong client relationships, with over 325 five-star reviews. The culture emphasizes collaboration, medical autonomy, and high-quality care without a high-pressure environment. Services include wellness care and exams, vaccinations, dental care, diagnostics and imaging, spay and neuter, parasite prevention, deworming, allergies and dermatology, microchipping, and pet surgery.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
