Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital located in Waukesha, Wisconsin, hiring for an Associate Veterinarian to join their AAHA-accredited small animal practice. This long-established clinic, formerly a private practice, has maintained its close-knit, community-oriented culture while benefiting from the wider support network of a national organization.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Thursday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturday from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm, with the clinic closed on Sundays. The position offers full-time or part-time flexibility, and schedules can be tailored to support work-life balance, with shared responsibilities across appointments and procedures.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This position involves a strong focus on wellness care, internal medicine, surgery, and dentistry. The hospital values collaboration and high-quality care, and is open to supporting special interests, such as soft tissue surgery or dentistry. The role is suitable for experienced veterinarians.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with a full suite of diagnostic and treatment tools, including ultrasound, endoscopy, EKG, dental X-rays, in-house lab and pharmacy, and an in-office surgical suite. Services offered span general and advanced dental care, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, internal medicine, reproductive services, cardiology, ophthalmology, pain management, hospice care, and more. As an AAHA-accredited facility, the clinic adheres to high standards and continually evolves its offerings to support comprehensive patient care.
Team
The team includes three DVMs working in a collaborative environment with shared responsibilities. The practice places a strong emphasis on support, communication, and mentorship, fostering a workplace where doctors are empowered to provide exceptional care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
