Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their AAHA-accredited, full-service small animal practice in Davenport, Iowa.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with Sunday closed. The role offers a flexible four-day work week with rotating Saturdays, no on-call responsibilities, and a generous midday break from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM each weekday. This position is available as full-time.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive patient care including wellness exams, vaccinations, spay and neuter, dental care, senior wellness, surgery, and care for exotic pets. The role may also include urgent care services, chiropractic care, and holistic medicine depending on the doctor’s interests. This role is open to all experience levels, including new graduates, with a customized, year-long mentorship program available to support clinical, surgical, and professional development.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with EMR, digital radiography including dental radiography, ultrasound, therapy laser, PRP, and tonometry. The practice utilizes a boarded radiologist and oncologist for advanced case support and maintains a progressive approach to veterinary medicine with an openness to integrating the veterinarian’s areas of interest, including advanced surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, holistic medicine, and exotic pet care.

The hospital has five DVMs supported by an amazing, collaborative support team that values progressive, high-quality care and a team-focused environment where the veterinarian’s ideas are heard and integrated into practice development.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
