Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their newly remodeled small animal clinic in San Rafael. This role supports a high-standard medicine environment focused exclusively on canine and feline care, with modern equipment, hands-free radiology and a close, long-standing team committed to delivering exceptional preventative and healing care.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. The position offers full-time, part-time or rotating availability.
Role Description and Responsibilities
Clinical responsibilities include providing comprehensive canine and feline care, from routine wellness to involved medical cases and general surgery. The role involves practicing high-quality medicine supported by digital radiography, ultrasound, a surgical suite and digital dental imaging. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Practice Details
The clinic is equipped with advanced technology including digital radiology, ultrasound, a surgical suite and digital dental imaging, as well as hands-free radiology. Services offered include diagnostic imaging, EKG, soft tissue surgery, orthopedic surgery, bone and joint surgery, ultrasound, anesthesia, dental care and dental X-rays, general surgery, geriatric medicine, health certificates, hospice care, full diagnostics, intensive care, pain management, periodontics, radiology, routine surgeries and spays and neuters. The culture is supportive, close-knit and focused on providing high-quality preventative and medical care.
Team
The hospital is staffed by 1 DVM and 7 support staff, including 1 RVT and 1 CVT, working together in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
