General Practice Veterinarian (Associate Veterinarian)

Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a practice seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join a growing clinic that values autonomy, mentorship, and work-life balance. This role offers the chance to be a foundational part of an expanding practice, working alongside a highly tenured Medical Director who supports collaboration, clinical development, and the freedom to work up cases fully. The practice welcomes new service ideas and supports a broad range of clinical interests, including mixed animal work if desired.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule offering either a four- or five-day workweek. There are no weekends and no on-call requirements.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role includes wellness and sick visits, urgent care, soft tissue surgeries, diagnostics, dental procedures, and comprehensive case workups. Daily responsibilities also include vaccines, full exams, bloodwork, screenings, oral exams, behavior evaluations, nutritional consultations, dermatology, internal medicine concerns, wound care, pain and lameness evaluations, gastrointestinal issues, dental extractions, cancer treatment, and end-of-life care. This position is suited to an experienced or new graduate veterinarian.

Practice Details
The clinic is equipped with modern technology including an in-house laboratory, dental radiography, ultrasound, and x-ray. Facilities support diagnostics, bloodwork, screenings, dental cleanings and extractions, mass removals, biopsies, foreign body removals, spay and neuter procedures, and a wide variety of medications such as antibiotics, dermatologic treatments, behavioral medications, pain relievers, anti-inflammatories, ophthalmic medications, anti-seizure medications, cardiovascular medications, steroids, antiparasitics, mobility support, and supplements. The caseload is diverse, ranging from wellness to urgent care, surgery, internal medicine, and chronic disease management. The culture is supportive, tight-knit, and designed to help doctors thrive, backed by experienced technicians, receptionists, and strong operational leadership.

Team
The team currently includes one DVM supported by experienced veterinary technicians, dedicated receptionists, and a seasoned practice manager with over 20 years of experience, creating a smooth, efficient, and enjoyable working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
