Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Full-Time Associate Veterinarian to join their 9-doctor small animal practice in Andover, Minnesota. They are hiring for a veterinarian to support their high-quality clinical services and commitment to positive culture and work–life balance.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with Sundays closed. The full-time schedule is 40 hours per week with a rotating Saturday shift. Appointment slots are 30 minutes, with dedicated breaks in the morning and afternoon for catch-up and callbacks.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will handle a range of clinical duties including wellness exams, dentistry, diagnostics, surgery, medical laser procedures, euthanasia, and laboratory testing. The role includes performing both soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, with access to surgical specialists for advanced procedures.

The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratory capabilities, medical lasers, diagnostic tools, and a well-stocked veterinary pharmacy. Services offered include wellness exams and plans, dentistry, diagnostics, surgery, medical lasers, euthanasia, and comprehensive lab testing. Additional surgical capabilities include laser surgery, soft tissue surgery, and orthopedic surgery. The practice culture prioritizes positive team dynamics, mental health, and work–life balance.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
