Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a full-service animal hospital seeking a Medical Director to join their dedicated team in Villa Rica, Georgia. This practice has been providing trusted veterinary care to the West Atlanta suburbs for more than 20 years, caring for cats and dogs with a wide range of medical services.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, with no Sunday hours. The role offers flexibility with the opportunity for a full-time schedule while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. There are no after-hours requirements.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will lead a team of skilled veterinarians and support staff, overseeing both clinical and administrative operations. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality care across wellness, internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, geriatric care, and preventive services while mentoring associates and supporting a collaborative environment. The role is open to experienced veterinarians with a passion for leadership and advancing patient care.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with advanced technology including ultrasound, digital radiology, cold laser therapy, a dedicated dental suite, a full in-house laboratory, and a luxury boarding facility. With a strong reputation for compassionate and professional service, the hospital provides comprehensive care ranging from preventive medicine and allergy testing to surgical and dental procedures.

Team
The practice is home to two veterinarians supported by an experienced and skilled support team. The culture is collaborative and patient-focused, ensuring pets and their families receive the highest standard of care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
